Caring Contributions

At Haven Berkeley, we believe in making a difference in the world around us. Our community is at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to supporting and contributing to those in need. Through various local community partnerships, we endeavor to support organizations doing powerful work in the community, and partner with them to help those struggling, lift up the marginalized, and make our community a better place for all. From donating time and resources to local shelters to volunteering at community events, we strive to be a positive force in the world and to live out the teachings of Jesus through our actions. We are proud of our work so far, but we know there is always more to be done, and we welcome all who want to join us in making a difference.

As we continue to recover from the effects of the Covid pandemic, our support has been more focused on financial contributions to organizations that are making a difference in our community. Our Haven board has made a commitment to give at least 10% of all financial gifts we receive to support needs in our Haven community, or organizations doing good work around us. Folks in the Haven community who could use practical support are welcome to share their needs here. You can find a list of the community organizations we’ve supported in the last year below.

We recognize the importance of supporting those in need during challenging times and we understand that everyone has different levels of availability and capacity to contribute. We strive to honor the space and bandwidth of our community members, allowing them to participate in ways that are meaningful to them. Whether you're interested in volunteering your time within Haven Berkeley or the Bay Area or would like to make a financial contribution, we can connect you with opportunities to make that difference. Additionally, we frequently update our Instagram and weekly newsletter with new opportunities to participate in our community and the Bay Area to keep our community informed and engaged in the work we do.
